•Give Get Go ‘s first trip just got back a couple of weeks ago with a great update! 3 houses, roofs on…ready to wire and plumb. Life changing experience for 12 lucky travelers. 2nd trip left Friday in crazy Toronto snowstorm, straggling over on makeshift flights! ready to go this week. Cartoonist Sue Dewer set to teach the kids drawing, creating a logos for Majengo….

FINANCIAL UPDATE: Feb 2013:
-2013 budget: $104,000 for 134 kids and 18 staff….
-Majengo’s new home: need $200,000 to finish!! please help!

•Majengo Canada looking for a fundraiser, someone to help write grants to foundations, do outreach…call Lynn: 416 951 6528!
•Majengo expanding….20 of our pre-schoolers turned 7 and moved on, into nearby government primary schools, leaving 20 spots to welcome new children – living out with full days into Majengo’s on-site pre-school. Govt social worker, Mr. Dennis and local leaders scouring the district to choose the district’s very most vulnerable, poor children.

•Anne Lindsey (Blue Rodeo fiddle player) and B.H. Yael (videographer) leaving next Friday, Anne to teach music, singing and playing to the kids, and Yael to video it all. Donor Jerry McIntosh of McIntosh media (TV production) volunteering to edit Yael’s tapes – hope to get video up and running in March…
•Matt Brewster, Warren volunteer and stone mason, arriving Tuesday to assist Charles for 6 months, work on site with the building, hang out with the kids and report back to us regularily..
•welcome to Kay Dolan from Warren, went over in September to build with Jamie, came back, made 4 presentations to local groups and created a “pen pal” project between kids in Warren and Majengo kids..outreach for the future!!
