After hours of practicing every day after school, with dancing, drumming, singing, and acting our Majengo kids joined lots of other schools at a fabulous (but very hot!) African Children’s Day event out in the Masai village of Selela.
Our basketball/netball court is up and running, and both the Majengo and neighbouring kids love it! Kids at Majengo excel on their school teams – netball for the girls and soccer for the boys. This year, Godlisen made it onto the men’s Majengo community soccer team – our sports hero!
Hilary MacMillan who visited Majengo in 2014 created a whole new line of Spring/Summer 2016 African-inspired clothes, brilliantly highlighted in October 2015 during Toronto’s Fashion Week.
